Plugins for ChatGPT: Privacy Policy
Effective date: 16-Oct-2026
Last updated: 16-Oct-2026
1. Who we are
This policy is issued by AI Business Partners, a trade name of Kumar Enterprises (sole proprietorship), 211, Third Floor, Phase-III, Innov8 Okhla, Okhla Industrial Estate, New Delhi 110020, India (“we”, “us”). It covers the plugins we publish in the ChatGPT Plugins Directory (each a “Plugin”), as listed in Section 2.
- Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), we are the Data Fiduciary for the limited personal data described in Section 5.
- Under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), we are the controller of that data.
2. Plugins covered
| Plugin | How it runs | Does AI Business Partners receive any user data? |
|---|---|---|
| Desi English Converter | Skills-only plugin inside ChatGPT; no server, database or connection to our systems | No |
3. Scope
This policy covers the Plugins and support requests about them. It does not cover:
- the AI Business Partners website, workshops or consulting services, which are governed by our website Privacy Policy at https://aibusinesspartners.ai/privacy. The plugin pages on this website, including this page, are part of the website and are covered by that policy, including its description of analytics and tracking tools; or
- ChatGPT or other OpenAI services, which are governed by OpenAI’s own terms and privacy policy.
4. How the Plugins work
As at the effective date, every Plugin listed in Section 2 is a set of written instructions (a “skill”, in effect a pre-recorded prompt) that runs inside ChatGPT. The Plugins have no server, database, application programming interface or other connection to our systems. When you use a Plugin, ChatGPT processes your text and generates the output within OpenAI’s environment.
As a result:
- When you use a Plugin, at no point do we receive, see, store or have access to the text you paste, the output, your conversation history, your ChatGPT account details, your IP address or your device information. We do not see, validate or control any output.
- OpenAI processes your text as the provider of ChatGPT, under OpenAI’s terms of use and privacy policy. OpenAI is not our processor, and we do not control how OpenAI handles conversation data. You can manage your data with OpenAI through your ChatGPT settings and OpenAI’s privacy request channels.
- If OpenAI gives publishers aggregate directory statistics (such as install counts), those statistics do not identify you. We do not combine them with other data to identify you.
5. Personal data we collect
We collect personal data only when you contact us:
| Category | Examples | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Contact details | Name, email address | You, when you email us |
| Support correspondence | The content of your message and any attachments you choose to send | You |
We do not collect sensitive personal data through the Plugins. Do not include payment card data, health information, government identification numbers, passwords or authentication codes in text you process with a Plugin or in emails to us.
You do not have to give us any personal data. If you do not, we may not be able to answer your request.
6. Purposes and legal basis
We use support data only to:
- respond to your request and resolve issues with a Plugin;
- handle privacy requests and grievances; and
- comply with legal obligations and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Our legal basis depends on where you are:
- DPDP Act: we process this data for the specified purpose for which you voluntarily provided it.
- GDPR: our legal bases are legitimate interests (answering your enquiry) and compliance with legal obligations.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, automated decision-making or training AI models, and we do not sell it.
7. Recipients
We share support data only with:
- our email service provider, Google Workspace, which stores our email on our behalf;
- professional advisers (such as lawyers or auditors) where necessary; and
- authorities where the law requires it.
8. Retention
- Text you process with a Plugin: we never receive it, so we keep none. OpenAI’s retention of your conversations is governed by OpenAI’s privacy policy and your ChatGPT settings.
- Support correspondence: kept for 12 months after your request is closed, then deleted. We keep it longer only where a legal obligation or an unresolved dispute requires it.
9. Security
We protect support correspondence with access controls on our email accounts. Access is limited to personnel who need it to respond to you.
If a personal data breach affects support data, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as the DPDP Act and its Rules require, and any other authority where the law requires it.
10. International transfers
Our email service provider may store data on servers outside India.
- We transfer data only as permitted under the DPDP Act and any restrictions notified by the Government of India.
- For users in the EU, EEA or UK, transfers rely on the safeguards available under the GDPR.
11. Your rights
Users in India (DPDP Act, 2023 and Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025). You may:
- request a summary of the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction, completion, updating or erasure of that data;
- nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
- seek grievance redressal. You must use our grievance mechanism in Section 13 before approaching the Data Protection Board of India.
Users in the EU, EEA and UK (GDPR). You may:
- request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests; and

12. Children
The Plugins are not directed at children. Under the DPDP Act, a child is anyone under 18.
- We do not knowingly process a child’s personal data through our support channels without the verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian.
- If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
